Default Why is everyone selling their Turbonetics single kit???

just wondering... other than the fact that you cant make over 450 whp.... is this a bad kit? too many blown engines? not safe? im not trying to have a monster... so i think 400whp is fine.... therefore i've being looking at this kit but im concerned because is the only selling like hot cakes at the my350z.com marketplace...

enlighten me please..

most people I know sell them because once they get that taste of boost....they need more. Same reason people can't stop modding after buying an exhaust or intake.

I think its that some people just want more power, at least, thats what i wanted when i sold my TN kit. Went w/ a built motor and Greddy tt's. Thats the only reason i can think of really

the percentage of actual owners and ones who are selling is actually very few. i hate to say it but since there are more turbonetics on the road, they seem to go boom more often as well. maybe some people get a little scared and get rid of them before the kaboom happens.

Logical upgrade... we had 1 turbo, now we want 1 more. Either that or they are selling their car....

That is sorta inaccurate. People wouldn't buy there kits in the first place if this was the case.

From my observance many sell their kits to upgrade to Greddy or a more powerful setup. The 60-1 isn't too efficient above 400whp on the Z cars.

You would think TN would get off their asses and finish their stage 2 or 3 or whatever kit it is.

Every TN kit that is sold to go for more power, is money out of TN's pocket.

Unless it comes with there own manifold, it shouldnt take this long. They have the turbo's there, so thats not the problem. There are 1000's of Z's in Cali, thats not the problem. So I think its safe to assume, they're LAZY!

i see this a lot. i cant imagine spending the dough for a nice single turbo setup then having to uninstall it take a hit on the resale, buy TT kit and have it installed. gah.

yes it helps and the whole blowing motors because of overboost or calling this kit unsafe is a very incorrect statement...
all you greddy lovers..well the greddy kit out the box is also a time bomb, and never mind that is about 2000 dollars more and 1500 more in install costs on TTs...while currently yes most of the very high HP cars run TTs, most 90% of FI build are on the stock block i.e ~~under 420whp which the turbonetics kit ppresents a very excellent option price/install/wise

I didn't like that the car was choked up over 5500 or the way the car sounded anymore.......sounded like a souped up sowing machine.....but that is my opinion.

this is not a true statement at all!!!

look at turbo-kits.com.........http://www.turbo-kits.com/350Z_turbo_kits.html

they have a special right now. The Greddy is $497 more than the TN........

and regarding install, I self installed both kits! Total cost $0 I did both installs in my garage with just a pair of jackstands, and NEVER pulled the motor.
