Default Greddy RS or HKS SSQV

Can both the greddy RS and HKS SSQV hold up to 550whp safely? I am trying to choose one with me greddy TT setup. I used to have the greddy type S on my SR20 and liked it, but havent heard much about the RS. Does the RS sound the same?
I have hear some talk about compressor surge on the HKS unit, but wasnt sure of the details if its the unit or how loose some people have their BOV's. I also saw that they redesigned the HKS SSQV on their website. Is the function different or just the appearance design?
Lastly, how do they sound in comparison...I have heard the HKS which was a somewhat loud turkey type noise..haha but I saw that they have different fins, does this make it more quiet or just change the sound? is the greddy as loud or louder than the hks? does it have the same turkey type sound or is it more of the swooosh air release sound? Basically, I want something that does not sound like a huge freight truck or bus. any suggestion

go with 2 BOVS.....

one on each pipe between the turbos and the intercooler.
You'll have the biggest pressure build up in those pipes.

how do you like the change? If you could, I know its hard to do on the internet, but could somewhat describe the difference in sounds..
Also do you have the redesigned version of the SSQV?

I have the SSQV and love mine.

They just brought out the new HKS SSQV:

I'm not sure what they did different in this new one other than the physical design.

Both will work fine. I recently added a second RS BOV, but I am nerd. Or just get a tial and be done with hit. The RS and SSQ are more of a street oriented application. Above 15psi, and they start to scream for life....not enough flow, IMHO.

I previously didn't like the hks becuase I thought it was too loud and too high pitched.. now I love it, even though I don't have one.

FYI, in the supra community, lots of people running over 500whp used 2 ssqv
or the HKS racing bov.
