Oil line fittings question.. NPT, UNI, JIC????
Hi,
I'm trying to replace a sump pump (weldon 9200a) that came with the APS ST kit. This sump pump uses an adaptor (shown in the picture) with fitting size 9/16" UNI X 3/4" JIC. I'm going to buy either mocal pump or a pump from turbowerx.com.
The problem is that both of these pumps use 3/8" NPT fittings, which is different from the weldon 9200a adaptor fitting sizes..
I'm no experienced mechanic, so I do not know what these fitting standards are all about.. all I want to know is if I can find an daptor with 3/8" NPT fitting on one end and 3/4" JIC or 9/16" UNI (I don't know which one goes to the oil hose) on the other.. Any help would be appreciated..
Thanks~

So, I'm searching around and I see that there are JIC to NPT adaptors I can buy.. but some of the websites use -6, -8 values for JIC.. I'm confused.. what's the 9/16" UNI then??
Point is, The Male (hose) end of that fitting pictured is standardized and will come in any (within reason) size on the pump side. All u need to do is hit the Yellow Pages for a Hydraulic Supply that sells Aeroquip hoses or whatever and they will have the adapter on the shelf.
Less maybe, Far Far East is Bangledesh in a remote village
