Default How much hp can one walbro make

Gonna be tuning sometime this week and wanted to know, what would be the ideal hp range of one walbro setup.

Speedforce racing twin 60-1 kit
Built longblock/ with cams etc....
CJ Motorsports fuel system
1000cc injectors
Built head/ port and polished
etc.......

I would like to see 600rwhp, if possible.

Couple people have gone a little over 600. Most are still waiting on Charles' dual pump setup though

I'd say if you plan to run 1000cc injectors, you'd better get another pump.

It all depends on what your base fuel pressure is and how much boost you are adding compared to turbo size (Fuel Pressure Regulator). I would be surprised to see a single Walbro pump survive at 600rwhp. Crank horsepower, maybe. At 60psi we ran out at 550rwhp.

Ask Tommy. If he says a single Walbro would hold 600rwhp I would be very surprised as he comes from a Supra background.

My car runs 580whp on a Dynojet, 40psi base FPR, 15psi of boost. It could go a little more, but slightly more and the FPR starts to fluctuate as the pump cant take anymore.

Walbro pumps seem to be a little inconsistent, but overall the voltage in your electrical system and restrictions in the feed line are the 2 things you need to really pay attention to if you want to max it out. I have seen over 650rwhp Dynojet. My car when it made 573 had no signs of pressure flucuation on the dyno.

What base fuel pressure are you running?

38ish IIRC. High quality injectors also help as they can assist you in making more power out of the same quanity of fuel.

I have asked Tommy, but wanted to have an opinion from the 350z members. I really dont want to max out the single walbro. I want to have something reliable, that doesnt take it to the extreme. So I guess, 550-575 should be ok then.

Pretty sure 1000cc for 600hp is overkill. Also you may deal with idle issues.

I have the Vpro. It seems to idle ok, from just a tune to drive around on. I've put over 1200 miles on it so far. Now I just want to tune to 14 psi.
