Default Cosworth bearings?

I am finally going to get the parts off my garage floor and sent it to a shop for an engine build but I got some questions. Are the cosworth bearings worth the extra dollars or is everyone going with the stock bearings from nissan? Also if they are that good where can I purchase them? Thats it and thanks- James

We stock these bearings. Although I cannot give you first hand experience as we have not installed the motor that these are sitting in, Cosworth's reputation is one of the best. Let me know if you have any questions.

just make sure you order the correct size, the "racing bearing" series provided much too large of a main and rod oil clearance. rod bearing clearance was over 4thousandths!!!! (factory spec is 2.3thos at the largest, we run up to 3thous for race applications)

the cosworth standard size bearing seemed to work well, although, the best way to ensure proper oil clearances with a standard generic bearing like these, is to align hone the mains on the block to get them all identical before assembly.

Working and fitting very fair, without all the fuss of matching/ordering/selecting various OEM bearings from Nissan. They are made by ACL. Although we havent torn down any engines using these bearings, they are working well so far.

Then again...we havent had any issues with OEM bearings either. We use the Cosworth for simplicity, mostly.

Like Todd said, use the standard bearings...not the race clearance bearings.
