Default Discharging A/C

How the hell do I discharge the A/C without dying? I am trying to install my Turbonetics line.

Take it to a shop that does AC. This is the only way to truely get all the old out and new charge back in. I was only charged $89 for them to recharge the system. I knew the guy so he didn't charge for replacing the line which doesn't take but 5 min. to replace, if that.

I'm not going to go into to much detail, but there is a high and low line for the AC sysytem on the driver side. One is in front of the brake reservoir brake cover to the lift and the other under the brake reservoir cover. There should be some plastic caps with the "L" and "H" letter. This is were you vent. Which is purely safe for the atmosphere. The car will also have to be cranked and AC run to get all out and in for there's some in the compressor too.

But you won't get it all out this way. So just do it right and take some where.

go to an A/C shop.........

have them discharge the line, then have them swap the line, and then recharge it!!!

Before I went to the A/C shop, I got all the "crap" out of the way and made it really simple. I think I was charged about $75.

Discharging yourself can get really messy, I removed my a/c last month. Def recommend taking to a shop because you need a special tool to properly remove the a/c line fitting without messing it up.

The tool is cheap; any auto parts store will have it. probably around $5......

but you are going to get pressurized green slime all over your car/engine bay!!!
