Default Installing W255 need a verify 1 thing

ok so I'm running the vortech setup and now I have to upgrade my fuel pump for smoother delivery and just incase my inline from vortech does not kick in (has happened b4).

anyway Im a DIY guy if you havnt known yet. Im using the turbonetics turbo install guid to install the new pump and came to 2 steps that I dont know if I should perform.

1. do I need to drill a bigger hole in the piece of metal on the outlet side of the pump? I dont know exactly what this piece is called but its on the outlet side of the pump and fuel comes out of a nozle like copper colore piece. the guid says to enlarge thehole with a drill.

2. the guide says to take out the inlet to the pump housing out and drill 2 big holes in it for fuel to get in it.

so im just wondering is this just for the turbonetics set up? or is it for any walbaro255 install? im pretty sure if i use common sence it tells me that by increasing the hole size it lowers the pressure the pump kicks out but in higher volume and by drilling holes in the housing u allow fuel to get to it more. witch makes sence b/c thats what im trying to do. Im just double checking!

I would follow the directions. That's what I did for my Stillen stage 4 install.

Pretty sure the modifications are becasue the 255 needs the larger in the outlet side becasue it flow so much more fuel, if you dont do it it will be restricted. The multiple holes in the plastic are to ensure it has enough fuel to pick up. Thats my take, I havent done it but I was planning on the same thing with a Greddy kit in the future.

You may not wanna drill the holes in the FP canister, you will get WOT hesitation at gas levels 1/4 tank or less. Ive read of TN guys not doing that and they have no issues with that.
