Default Update: Z TWIN TURBO front fender badges

I have had to modify the round front fender Z TWIN TURBO badge. Unlike the OEM original Z fender badge and the first prototype, the face of the new badge will be flat and not slightly curved outward. This compromise was necesssary because of the finishing challenges presented by the curved surface which would have significantly increased the price beyond the $85.00 (shipped) price for a set of two. Below is a pic of the revised prototype. I still need a minimum of ten pre-paid orders to get this going. ETA at this time is early/mid June 2007. Here is a link with payment info in the Inventor Classifieds:

No, not out of the question. I need to get this going and then if there is sufficient demand (read: at least 10 people) then I will do a SUPERCHARGED version.

Just seems like it would be hard to fit in there.

Greg,

I know this is OT, but any progress on a "TwinTurbo" emblem for those Gs out there? I recall it was on your list of things to do.

Yes, it is. This current project needs to get "in the can" as it were and production underway before I turn to the G35's. Perhaps you can visit the thread I started late last year at G35driver.com. I proposed different possible styles and asked people to vote. I got no clear consensus at that time.

Id like to see the one set installed on a Z. Without the concave face Im kinda worried the emblem will look funny.

Is there a way to make a Supercharged version or even like the AMG's supercharged emblem?

Yes, there is a way to to a SCZ version and I'd like to do one. But I need a minimum of ten people willing to pre-pay to cover design and prototyping costs. Lot's of people will raise their hands and say "I want, I want" but few seem willing to actually step up to the plate and pre-pay. As it is, I hate to even ask for people to do that in the first place but I simply cannot shoulder the costs of designing and prototyping new emblems. I'm sitting on several SUPERCHARGED Z emblems now that people said they wanted but then disappeared. I'm still waiting on five more people to step up and pre-pay on the current ZTT fender emblem. Sorry for the long rant, it's just a little frustrating.
