WTF 9 lb pully and headers please help!!
hi guys a few of u have been reading my last few posts about geting the 9 lb pully and headers and an fmu put on my vortec g.
well the time finaly came and im very disapointed. befor the pully and headers and fmu was put on i was runnling 332 whp and 300 wtq. with the vortec kit. well now and like $3000 later i have 338 whp and 305 wtq
so like no gaines. can some one help me did i forget to do something did the car get tuned bad??
please help i was figureing at least 360 whp with these extra mods. do i need a new ecu? do i need to take it some where else to tune? do i need to restart the ecu?
something please help me as my car is no faster

i do i have 2 dyno graphs
and yes the cerv is much better and smother now the car feels a bit faster
but still only like 4 whp more is that right?
and could it also be that when i first got the vortec and dynoed it that it had more power then it dose now 20000 miles later?

Sometimes that's all your going to get, for I've been in the same boat too. Sometimes people forget about the overall curve and focus just on peak power. Headers didn't do much for me either. But the sure sound good and carry a smoother curve.

ok well i put the vortec on at 18000km that was 2 years ago it was first put on i have driven 2 years and 25000km since the last tune and mod.
i bought a beter fmu as the shop said i would need to it was 400$
and headers and the 3.12 pully and im only geting 4 mor hp and tq then when i first put the sc kit on.
is it possable that over the past 2 years i have lost power and i was no longer pushing 335 whp from the kit and adding the new mods just bumped it back to that.

i have no clue what the shop did as of tuning
should they have pulled mor timeing?
they told me that they tuned it to be safe not for max power but i still think i could at least get 350 whp from the mods i have?

the problem is i dont know where to take it to tune it im in canada (calgary)
the shop i took it to dose the most sc setups in canada though however they are more filmiler with domestic setups.

the fmu i did buy is deffanthy better i caould tell bye looking at it its biger and loks better
why i would need a new one im not sure
but ididnt buy the headers or anything from this shop i just got thim to instal and tune
is it mabey cause i have the oem ecu still ?

i didnt pay thim that much
i ment i payed for the headers 1000 the pully 150 and the fmu 400
then they charged me 1300 labour to put that stuff in and then tune it. but i want there when they tuned it i dont know how they tuned it just got the dyno test back.
if i take the car back to thim what should i say spend more time tuneing? it runs great now just not any faster.

i odnt know what fmu for sure i can try to find out.

This whole thing makes no sense to me..The Vortech supercharger Comes with a FMU capable of 400hp of fuel and an out of the box tune that should put down 330-350whp.
You need to find out what you paid for..What FMU do you speak of, did the add.
And did the tune the R4 splitsecond box or not..a 9 psi pulley even on an ultra conservative tune, would make 370ish with your mods..
Also I call foul on this entire thread until we see Dyno graphs..

Hmmm... I am running the 3.12 pulley with the HKS exhaust... I have stock headers and I am also running the SSV (yeah I know what you all think about the SSV...shuddup).
With the above setup I am getting 379rwhp and 312tq on a Dyno Dynamics dyno. (uncorrected)
Your numbers do not sound right to me with your setup...
I do not think the Vortech looses power with the years.
