hahah. I love the mixed responses, figured that though. Do I want to spend 20-30k on upgrades on my Z, probably not. Im asking for opinions because out of the 6 tuner cars I have owned and the different forums I belong to, I trust you guys a lot with tech. information on the z. I was planning on spending no more than 10k on it just to be realistic. I was thinking maybe going with the APS single turbo kit. As far as the search thing goes... I did search for hours on end I have read a lot of your opinions and have come to a conclusion that .. well to be honest ... ended up where I started lol. Probably because this is such a huge mod for the car and it becomes a religious continuous upgrade rather than a one and done deal. But please keep giving me suggestions so I can keep myself and others who are interested in this busy at work
If you've read that much(which I doubt), you should be smart enough to put a price on the things you want and need.
Your goals are 450-500. That's about 15k.
If you want about 350-400, that's more like 10k.
Over 500, and you better hit the lotto, from the sounds of it.
So.......how much of that 10k do you have, right now? This is the most important answer. Because if you don't say about 8k or more, then you have no business posting. If you had the $, you'd have a plan. It appears that you have neither. I don't mean to be super harsh, just super honest...
One thing you are right about: it will become a religious experience, and you'll only want more more more.

I have the money, I just need to justify it. I have had supercharged and turbocharged cars in the past, but none with a motor as potent as the Z. I guess whats holding me back is the pros. vs. cons.. lots of power vs. reliability. Trust me, I have read a lot about this topic, I check everyday on the diff. topics on FI threads. Maybe 400-450 is more realistic in my position. From what I have read, stock internals are pretty strong as long as you hover around the 400 mark, so maybe the single turbo or supercharger is my realistic option.

always add more than what you intend to spend..
ex: I added at least $3k to$4k or so on my soon to be FI setup easily with add-on mods.. It doesnt stop at just kit and install... And i had to stop myself from spending more.

Well now that were talking realistically you can read Muzzys write up about the vortech supercharger. That will get you at your 400whp mark under 10k or find one of the many turbonetics or aps single turbo write ups and decide from there which route you want to go.
