my .02 i would jus by a twins set up now... like the greddy or jwt and the proper accesories u will need. If tuned right with proper fuel, a decent exhaust u should be able to get 400whp. Then get a block and slowly build it over what course of tyme u choose and then u can swap blocks, with new head studs and head gasket (a few other things too!) and shoot for closer to 500. Now dis is jus a short block with stock sleeves wit the piston and rods of ur choice. u could slide some jwt stage one cams in wit the recommended spring and shim kit and prolly get above the 500whp mark wit a good tune on stock sleeved block. I know i left out a ton of details and crap but thas my general plan (looks alot better on the 3 pages of paper ive scribbled on lol)... because i was able to pick up a used block through a friend for a case of beer LoL im goin ahead wit my FI plans about 6mo earlier now... Of course ive done a ton or research and spent countless hours online lookin up parts and reading everything i can!!! i highly suggest u spend the tyme to research every little detail... it will save u alot of money and hassle in the long run!

400-500hp supras are considered the "slow" supras.

I'm one of em.

is it really just about speed, or hp, or even $$$.

nah - it's about *your* ride.

And yes $25k to go from stock to TT is a reasonable estimate - but it's just money. you'll end up spending it on something, right? why not TT?
