Thumbs up Twin Turbo's FTW!

On my way home from work today driving my Z, a Supra went past me at like a 100 and his BOV went off as he passed my window. I have been long contemplating twin-turbo or not on the Z, well now I have made up my mind. That was the meanest sounding Supra I have ever heard, plus he had a CF lip kit, CF GT hood, 19" Wheels, overall a gorgeous car! I need mine to sound like that damnit! Please convince me to buy a twin turbo kit with examples of your setups. I want to know what makes 450-550HP and what type setups you guys are running(including wastegate, bov, fmu, etc.) Thanks!

Sounds like your trying to convince yourself to to do. If you need other people to tell you to do it. More than likely you shouldnt do it. I personally think its your own decision no matter what other people think.

for that type of power be prepared to spend about $20,000. than ask yourself, is it really worth it to sound cool?

425rwhp on pump gas or a little more on 100, otherwise you are asking for trouble.

maybe if you install it yourself and tune it yourself...

for 550 at the wheels on a safe setup and additional mods like exhaust... radiator... clutch.. flywheel.. fuel.. blah blah blah.. you are looking at $30k bare minumum

alot of people look at the price of a turbo kit and factor in $2,000 more and think thats it... after you are done upgrading and making everything safe... it jumps up big time

It would be alot cheaper, to find a friend that has a supra and just ride with him!
