Default TN ST Build and Tune Complete!

I re-entered the Z-World last summer after 20-years away (had a couple 280ZX Turbos in the distant past). First thing I started doing when I got my car was spending hours each day in this forum learning everything I could. Well, 8-months later my engine mods are done. So, I thought I would post my build details along with the dyno sheet.

Thanks to everyone who posted, replied and helped along the way!

humm...... I have the same basic setup but with the vortech sc. I tought that the turbonetics is soppose to make more power than the vortech? I get 400whp @ 9psi. but you get power earlier witch is expected.

I think it may be that I am only boosting to 8psi (even though the graph looks higher). Also, it will depend on the dyno used.

Either way, I would guess we're both having a blast with our FI Z's...

Cheers,

Mark

Congrats on the turbo kit install.

I'm interested as to why you're making boost so late (well past 4k rpms). Just saying because my setup made 9psi well before 3500rpms.

Don't know the answer. I'll ask my tuner when I see him tomorrow.

Thanks!

So, the answer is... That dyno sheet is a HP Run. The boost actually does come on much higher under driving conditions. I looked at all 20 dyno sheets at my tuner's place yesterday and under normal acceleration the boost is there much earlier (in the mid-2000's as stated).

One thing for sure, you feel it in the seat when the boost comes on! A whole new car.

Thanks for scaring me... LOL.
