SGP sucks.. period.. I build a car for a guy from Houston a few years ago.. He took it to SGP to have a fuel pressure regulator and a few other very miniscule things installed.. SGP took a ton of pics, and claimed that they had "built the car". I called them out on it, and they removed it from thier site. Lame..

The pain in my bank account.

Remember when I first got the car back from SGP with the 2nd built motor and I posted that it started running rich in hotter climate? Well you were right that the correction tables were fuked up which is why my tune got fuked as soon as I entered FL. I was defending Mark's tune, but you were right, it sucked!

Mark told me to deal with him specifically so that's what I did. He said if I ever had any questions or problems to call him directly. He even gave me his cell phone number instead of calling the shop. At first I wanted Mark to refund me some money for having to pay someone else to fix my car, but he offered the plenum and I said ok. If he would have done it right from the get go I wouldn't have had to pay someone else to fix it.

yeah bro trust me that's exactly what happened to me, the guys who installed my motor, fuel system, and re-installed the TT kit ****ed them up ROYALLY!!! i mean **** was so ****ed up it seemed like a retard came in overnight and played with all my connections! mark was supposed to tune my car and install the Fcon, he ended up staying an extra day to try and fix everything up right, we had 3 people including mark working on my car for 4 straight days and we still couldn't fix everything. he's a good guy and i wish this **** wasn't happening, that does suck regardless and the plenum is also being made as my friend and i are waiting for one as well, i think you should take it just because it's free or take it and i'll buy it from you! haha i'm not defending mark, just trying to let you know all the BS he deals with and hope it gets fixed somehow!

Even without issues, building these cars is a pain in the bank account. I look at all the money I have sunk into my car and is almost astronomical - out of the shoot I wouldn't have phathomed I would be into this car as deep as I am. That said, you have to pay to play. the bad thing is, now that your car is running properly, it will only be a matter of time before you want more power. And more power = more money.

I have had issues as well with a shop and tried to work through it. I honestly considered driving my car through performance motorsport at least 2 times.

I live in Houston(where sgp is located) and I have heard nothing but horror stories about SGP. Almost every nissan owner I know who has work done there or dealt with them can't stand them.

There is always a second side to the story. ALWAYS!!! Before jumping to conclusions, the second side should be told.

I dont think anyone is jumping to conclusions, but there has been ample time, for someone from SGP to respond. I totally agree with you, there's deffinately two sides to every story.

and here come the SGP nutthuggers .

That really sucks to hear all of these negative transactions. I was really looking forward to getting my car tuned there and eventually getting all my FI work done there. I knew it was to good to be true that a shop that notable would be so convinient for me

Guys I am sure Mark and SGP have put out some really great numbers on numerous cars and have done great work.. But a shop that is overworked is going to have problems as you must get the cars out ASAP and $hit gets overlooked.. Hopefully they can chime in and do some explaining.. If not, there are PLENTY of other shops to take your ride to get tuned, built etc etc..
