Mobil 1 Oil Analysis - High Chromium
With chromium above average after only 1600 miles on the oil, should I be truly worried about ring wear?
The oil had sat in the car for 6 mths during those 1600 miles.
I have an APS ST installed for the last 7000 miles.
Any comments?

I wouldn't take 6mth used oil analysis seriously. Is this the extended life mobil 1?
I have a Mustang that gets about 1k miles in a year. That's the only reason I use extended life in it, is for the 12 month gaurantee.

Maybe try the 10W30 next time?

I'm interested in this subject... my Z burn a lot of oil, on my last oil change the car was almoust 2 Qtr. short after 1600 miles using Mobil 10/40. I put W50 to see any change...
Maybe try the Purpe one or is something else on my engine???
