Well found out what the noise was guys... It was the lifters!

Did a leak down test and all cyl are within 3% of each other with 1bar of cyl psi as a base line. So the motor is still tight and no bent valves! Horray!

I am still trying to figure out how it happened, but the valve lash is way out of spec from what I originally set it at. For example, in cyl #3 the exhaust valve clearance was originaly set to .013" and now it is .024". Now there are only two way this could happen in my opinion. Either I am an idiot and measured wrong when setting to cold clearance, or something settled in these Cosworth heads.

Now I would be the first to admit if I made a mistake... But, a error of .011" is pretty huge! And the noise would have been there from the first time I started it. This noise came about 4000 miles after the build.

I have made a bunch of calls to see if anyone has an idea. Sharif has a call to Cosworth to see if something is going on with the heads from a machining process.

I will keep everyone posted.
