Like taurran said it suck when lurching from a stop but once you past 1st gear it is all pull since your RPM will never dip bellow 4K RPM

Sorry for the OT

1. Turbonetics turbo 9psi, Utec tuned by MRC,Car had 45,000, 500 miles so far and still going, 380rwhp and 420ftlbs.

2. APS TT, FCon Vpro tuned by non other than Sam@GTM ; Over 20k miles boosted, 550rwhp@14psi, Blew at Willow Springs after an entire day and 100 miles of abuse on the track at 14psi and over 20k FI miles (although not all at this high of a power level) Snapped a rod *Blown Engine*

3. GReddy TT, RevUp motor, UTEC tuned by AAM. 469rwhp/434rwtq @ 10psi. BOOM! just after 4,000 miles boosted *Built motor / new FI setup in process *Blown Engine*

4. APS TT 9psi, Tuned by Japtrix, Unichip, 15k miles, 437rwhp 391rwtq, never blew, decided to build motor for more boost+power.

6. Greddy TT@ 9psi (91 0ctane) ???whp tuned by me, UTEC, 2k miles, not blown yet...
11psi (118 Octane) ???whp tuned by me, UTEC ran STRONG!

7. Turbonetics @ 8 PSI 380 WHP, out of box reflash, 57,000+ miles, not one issue.

8. JWT TT @10psi 700BB upgraded turbos 460whp,410fltbs,utec 2K+ with it and still going 11.8@118

9. APS ST @10psi 411hp 455tq didnt make it home from Chicago *Blown*

10. PE TT rev-up@11.5 psi 405hp 450tq Fcon, 4 track days, and 94 dragstrip passes @11.9 117 "Forged tuned"

11. Turbonetics 9-10psi 383whp 380ft/lbs SAE on DJ-it did 396/400 actual on a winter day. Tuned with UTEC by AAM on 93 octane, also running AAM RFS, and UTEC. I drove it HARD and it lasted about 20 1/4 passes and blew after 3000 miles! *Blown Engine*

12. Turbonetics 8-9.2psi 323hp and 340tq DD. Tuned with UTEC, AAM RFS, and Stk exhaust driven for 10K miles. Tuned by Forged

13. Turbonetics 8psi 370whp 370tq turbonetics reflash no other mods. Blew up after 24hrs first hard run 3rd and 4th gear pull. Was installed by Evolution Autosports. *Currently tuned by Forged Performance* *Blown Engine*

14. Vortech Supercharger 7psi 366whp 305tq. Tuned by me with SS box. 50k on car, 10k boosted, going strong for over a year now.

15. APS ST installed and tuned at GT Motorsports. Tuned at 8psi 375whp. Mis-shifted during a hard pull going from 4th to 5th but I hit 3rd. I hit about 8500 rpm's at 10psi and bent a few rods. Car is at GTM getting a full build w/ cams. *Blown Engine*

16. Turbonetics and Greddy Twin Turbos: ~400 whp for 16k miles combined. 11k with turbonetics and 5k with greddy. No real issues, turbonetics was tuned by Sharif and Greddy was tuned by Chris Macellero both using UTEC. 35k when installed. 51k now and running strong

17. TN installed by me and GTM, "very modded" 400hp & 390TQ 1500 miles no issues yet. Utec & Tuner, Tuned By Sam@GTM

18. JWT TT tuned at 6.5psi with 371whp & 369tq. Installed/tuned by VRT. Collected 5,000 miles. Minor issue with the revup motor, nothing serious. Currently being corrected by Relentless Autosports and retuning at 8psi.

19. 2005 G35 Sedan Revup Motor (27,000 miles)
100 shot NX nitrous (installed by me) 10000 miles
Turbonetics ST installed by me, tuned by forged(tweaked by me) 8.5 psi360whp/390wq for about 8000 miles.
Greddy TT installed by me, tuned by PerformanceFactory (tweaked by me) 9 psi 406whp/400wtq for about 4000 miles.

20. Turbonetics w/UTEC tuned @9 Psi to 385 WHP @10.0 A/F. Running like a champ for past 5000 miles. This same turbo kit blew another Z's motor before I bought it and installed the overboost pipe. Thanks Brian!
If you are going to go FI just expect to get a new motor eventually. I know it's gonna go one day. Till then full throttle

21. Vortech 9psi 410rwhp,337 trq stock block, 7k miles and running like a champ. My research and this thread proves that 400rwhp / 9-10psi is about the max mark before you need a build motor.

22. Vortech 5PSI 313WHP, 282 Trq. Stock Block. 1K Miles. Driving like i stole it.

23. Vortech 11 psi, 477 whp, 383 tq Tuned by Sam @ GTM. Fcon Vpro, water/meth injection and 96 octane. Stock block with JWT cams. About 4000 miles on car since vortech install. Car has 25k miles total.

26. Greddy TT (11.6# wastegate springs) 511whp 512wtq 91 oct Installed & Tuned by TC Performance www.tcperf.com UTEC. Boosted at 80k miles, 96k miles on the ODO when I sold it. Car has been dragged and street raced quite a bit and always driven very hard. The JWT clutch has finally given out with almost 100k on the motor with the new owner.

27. APS TT @ 9 psi 451WHP and 430WTQ on DD with no correction. Tuned with Unichip Q+. 4k miles with hard driving on the street and road course with no major problem(knock on wood). babying the car is not in my dictionary...!

28. APS TT @ 8 psi 380WHP (Automatic). (Mustang Dyno) Tuned by the BEST! (Roger at Japtrix) no problem stock engine. Daily driver.

29. APS ST @ 7-7.5 psi 313 rwhp/ 340 trq on dynojet with exhaust and boost leak 9,000 miles with no major issue. Getting re-tuned at GT Motorsport with F Con and other goodies hoping to get 400/400 on 91 octane

30. APS TT...snapped a rod 2nd pull on the dyno during tuning...no miles on kit, didnt even get the car back. i guess thats just my luck.
But now built motor and going all out as much power as possible!!

31. Turbonetics ST 8psi...reflash, installed by me, 2,000 miles since install 340whp 367wtq DJ at Performance Factory with a slipping clutch. With new flywheel car is overboosting in 1st and 2nd gear ONLY, awaiting new Tial 38mm WG with 0.6 bar spring

32. APS ST @9.5 psi......32,000 turbo miles....regular maintenance, no
issues....

33. Vortech S/C 3.12 pulley.... 9000 miles. Car currently has 60,0xx now. No troubles. Tuned by Sharif at Forged Performance. Car gets driven hard on a weekly basis, has seen over 30 track passes since the install and is a DD

34. Turbonetics ST @ 9psi/refllash/380cc injectors. Driven HARD (constant boost and runs) for 2+ years and 17,000 miles. Made 412/431 at Z Fever in Tampa. Was dyno'd at 369whp with a horrible exhaust leak between wastegate and turbine, and running rich at PF just recently. Broke a rod 5/20/07 on road trip back from Zdayz. Built custom ST setup coming soon.

35. JWT TT @ 10 psi was 425rwhp 362 ft/lbs, now 405whp tuned at Japtrix. 6,000 miles on it. Daily Driven with no problems. Running CJM Stage 2, 550cc's and Unichip Q

36. APS ST @ 11psi, 425whp, 440ft lbs, tuned at GRD, 35k mi before turbo, 38kmi now no problems (knock on wood)

37. 420+ whp, 410+ tq. jwt tt kit at 8.5 psi. engine has 61,000 miles and has been boosted for 6,000 of them. still runs like stock, tracked every weekend. Built by VRT

38. Turbonator- 25k miles, DD- never tracked. Overboosted once, lucky for gauges

39. Greddy TT - 31K miles 463 WHP Stock Internals @ 8psi with Tech Reflash; No problems, Flawless (knock on wood).. I'm gonna put Arias HD, Eagle, ARP with Utech CJ return line and 750 injectors because is time to step up to the Top Dogs!

40. APS ST [12 psi] 446rwhp/505tq - stock block/clutch - UniChip - 91 octane and W/M injection at 8+psi. Gave me 67,000 hard mi. until I picked up some knocking in the mid-RPM range. New setup with built motor to see 18 - 20 psi with 500+rwhp by July '07.

41. Greddy TT+Built Motor-10PSI=460WHP 505WTp......16K miles now, and runnin strong. Split Second Box tuned by VRT. soon 18-19PSi run to happen-update comming!!

42. Turbonetics, utec tuned at 9psi by Sam at GTM, am pushing 365whp/360wtq, am at 20k extremely hard miles on stock motor and is still strong. Sam did a great job tuning this car.

43. APS TT, 8.5psi 390whp, Unichip. 15k turbo miles. Having some oil issue recently, burnt 4qts of oil in 2000miles.(normal?!)

This thread gives me some hope that I can indeed have a stock motor with a bolt on kit. With a good tune and keeping the boost lower than 8, it seems its fairly safe to get some FI. Just gotta keep your self control on the boost settings.

+1 this thread is very encouraging for those of us that don't necessarily need a drag strip "monster" just something to whoop up on a V8 once in a while

Exactly!! I have some idiot on a different site insisting that I have to build my engine no matter what if I go FI. I should give him the link to this thread so he can see for himself and also to see me calling him an idiot. lol!!

44. SFR twin turbo system with dual SFR 3" exhaust and stock everything else.24k turboed miles.51K on stock motor.91 octane California pump **** daily driver for two years. The tuning was done by me with an SS box on a DD and then I put in on a Dynojet with SAE correction. And I would like to add that this is one of the fastest Z's out there on a stock motor with some real hard turboed mileage on it.I like to back up my words with actions so if you are ever in SD, hit me up and you can have a ride or drive the car

479WHP,440ft/lbs @10.4psi
456WHP,420ft/lbs @9.6psi
440WHP,406ft/lbs @8.5psi

It was recently dynoed again with the addition on one of our plenums and it made 444WHP @7.8 psi right at redline. We are upping the rev limiter and then hitting the dyno again in our pursuit of 500WHP at the lowest boost possible with just bolt-ons and without touching the stock motor. At this point I am pretty stoked since the motor has lasted alot longer then I thought. This is the shops test mule for new stuff and it has been driven hard and dynoed in excess of 100 times.LOL.So there is hope for the stock motor guys...... if your car is tuned properly

I just wanted to add that this is one of the best cars I have ever owned It has been reliable and fun.I have owned quite a few different vehicles and built hundreds of cars over the last 10 years and for what this car is,it is one of the top cars ever. The Supras are pretty bad-*** too and reliable if you keep the power levels down below 600WHP

turbo tim sorry for the dumb question but is there any advantages of trying to keep the boost level low while attaining high hp numbers, just wonering. Does this cause less stress on the engine or anything like that.

Hey fellas, I found this thread so helpful here that I started the same kind of thread over on G35Driver.com. I know a lot of you have accounts over there and I would really appreciate it if you could put the same info that you put here over there also. Believe me, it really helped me make a lot of decisions with the direction that I wanted to go in without having to ask a lot of repetative questions. Thanks in advance.
