Default Vortech installation fuel pump vs OEM... fast question

I'm actualy installing my vortech kit... and no where in the instructions they are refering to the OEM fuel pump...

they tell us how to connect the in line fuel pump but no where it is mentionned if we have to disconnect the OEM one ?

do I have to install the new one without removing or disconnect the OEM one ?

any help will be appreciated !

thank you !

they dont talk about the oem one cause they use two. they use the factory one in its normal usage and then add an inline one to help it and provide more fuel as necessary.

just follow the instructions as Vortech has them and you will be just fine...

In other words, the OEM feeds the Remote. I suggest you sit down and study the instructions avidly

Or you could just run a Walbro and not even mess with that inline pump, right?

No. The aux. pump works inline with the FMU. So you actually need it. Using a walbro instead of the aux pump will lead to big headaches if you just try to drop it in.

If you are going to switch to an intank walbro, it is better that you actually get larger injectors and a tune to control the fuel pressure, air/fuel ratio, and timing.
