No thanks. I'm not ready for it yet.

I got their super twin SS trim because after talking with them it should be more than enough for my situation and very nice on the street. They even gave me a nice discount!

It should be on the car early next month. I will post up a review then.
what are the specs on that clutch , how much whp/tq will the clutch hold?

I was able to cancel the order. But it looks like they have one ready. If you call them use extension 108 and see if you can get the one they were making for me.

Ive got the spec super twin PT series clutch on my car. At idle the chatter is minimal, and in high gear in lower rpms (say 4th gear at 30mph) there is slight chatter up to 2400rpms then goes away. To alleviate this, I just shift at 3k and there is no chatter. The only thing I had to really learn to do was get going from a stop again because it grabs SO hard; there is no slipping with the PT version! It grabs so hard that I get wheel hop powershifting into 4th gear! BUT I think the positives far outweigh the chatter:

1) costs $1245 and holds 1100 ft-lbs
2) The clutch pedal feels just like stock once broken in

Im n/a right now but plan to build for 550+ so I wanted a clutch that I will not have to remove once I hit my goal.

For the price, quality, and feel, I highly recommend any of the Spec Super Twins.

Sounds good, thanks for the review! How does the chatter compare to stock? Are the spec Super Twin clutches a sprung hub design or no? Now for the DxD review. I am about to buy a clutch and I'm looking at these two as my options.

Wink RPS Twin Carbon-Carbon Clutch Installed.....

Heyaz....

Sorry I haven't been around and posted this earlier, and I don't even know if this is even relevant at this phase of this thread but I did wan't to thank eveyrone for their input and update you as to the choice I went with for my '03 350Z APS TT setup.

RPS Twin Carbon-Carbon!

The clutch is less chatty than my RPS Street Disc and is somewhat lighter and it shifts a faster/smoother so you know that's a good thing.

I haven't had a chance to drag/road course the car since the install but in my 'playing around' I am totally thrilled/satisfied with the engagement & launches!

It did take a little while to get used to difference in shifting, but it's definetly worth it.

Anyone else running this clutch?

Also in taking out my Street Disc you wouldn't believe how great it looked knowing what I have put it through.

All I can say is that not only did that RPS Product deliver what it said it would, it also held up way better than expected after 1/8, 1/4, road course, and daily beatings that I know and those of you that know me I put it through.

See ya

Anyone on the Southbend DXD care to comment on noise? chatter?

I'm willing to give the clutch a shot. Hopefully it doesn't bite me in the ***.

We been running the RPS Carbon/Carbon in our z and it's handling EVERYTHING we throw at it many +1000rwhp pulls!! Rob at RPS truly underated it's power capabilities.

I even took it to the track last night and with the car set about 800hp it didn't even skip a beat!

Gets our thumbs up and recommendation.

I run the stock flywheel so I dont get much chatter with my dxd stage 5. About the same amount as when I had the stock clutch in. Most of the chatter people get with aftermarket setups is from their lightweight flywheel.

Buy the dxd. I can't recommened it enough. Mine has been on for about 2k miles so far and I love it. It is as drivable as stock but rated for gobs of torque (650 flywheel I believe, for the stage 5).
