Red face Vortech SC or JWT TT???

I've done tons of research, read numerous threads on here and on G35Driver (I have 5,000+ posts over there) and spoken with several shops and I am no closer to deciding on what I want to do. Both the Vortech SC full kit and the JWT TT kit have pros and cons and I have gone through them all. One day I like the Vortech and the next I like the JWT TT. Damn, I didn't think it would be this tough of a decision. So what do you guys (and any gals that have an opinion) think? If you had a choice between these two kits, which would you pick? I've done my research so I don't need any info on either option. This thread is simply to get your opinion on what you would do if you were me.

If I wasn't in Cali, I would build the block and TT the shiet out of my engine. But since I am in Cali, it's an issue that I have to deal with. Getting busted for not being street legal would suck!

So Vortech it is?
That was my reasoning for Vortech. I knew there was a good chance of moving to Cali, so I went with Vortech.

I was talking to Scott earlier about your car bro. Scott is a cool guy. He really knows how to get you pumped up when he starts talking FI. lol!! Anyways, I still haven't decided but going Vortech is what I am leaning towards right at this moment . . . . . but that could change . . . . I don't know . . . . . DOH!!

I love my Vortech but if I had the option to get TT's that would be tough. You will get plenty of enjoyment with the SC though.

I like Scott because he doesn't try to sell you stuff you don't need or really want. You give him your ideas, he shoots you back honest answers.

I admit, TT would be awesome. I know it's possible (albeit still illegal) in CA, but I really didn't care to deal with the hassle. I've got my good old Carb sticker to get me by. The Vortech is making me smile all day, everyday. And I've got some many more mods to do before I get to a good level of power. Also, if you've done some mods already, you'll be able to keep everything (except popcharger/intake). GL with the decision, either way

I believe hes going with GTM or Scott and Relentless, so i'm sure its gonna get done right the first time.
Dude, without the CARB sticker its gonna be risky as i'm sure you already know.
I'll admit i'd rather have the JWT TT myself, but if it were my car i'd go with the Vortech simlpy because of the CARB approval, one less thing your gonna have to worry about!

Either way you have a sick *** car man, best of luck.

If u plan on sticking with the stock block, the vortech will make it last long and reaching 400+ isn't too tough.

you live in cali defenetly get vortech. its smog legal. I have the vortech and love it to death, but if I hade a choice and $ was not a factor I would defenetly get the twins and build the engine. if you are looking for more than 400rwhp go with the TT if not vortech is your safest easiest and cheapest bet on stock block.

It depends what you are looking for. If you only want about 400 hp, go with the SP or single turbo kit, but if you think you will become addicted to boost like most people that drive turbo cars, and would possibly want 600+ hp some day, then go with the TT setup. I personally hate SP's but they are pretty easy to install and deal with compared to turbo setups.

I have been pondering the same question for a future mod as I have rode in two cars with JW TT and had a taste of their awesome power. I try to keep faith JW will achieve CARB approval by the time I am ready to take that step. What about the Pro Charger? Is the Vortec a better system?

If I went FI it would certaintly be either the Vortec or JWT.

But to ask which one you should get without giving us your priorities makes a suggestion difficult.

The two are night and day difference. There are so many critical aspects to consider you need to at least know for yourself what your priorities are.

Cost?
Reliability?
Torque curve?
Power curve?
Carb?
Expandability?
Internals?
Install shop cababilities?

Questions like this and so much more...

If you asked which has more power capability the answer would be easy.
If you asked which is easier to install the answer would be easy.
If you asked which will probably have less maintenance the answer would be easy.
If you asked which will be smog legal the answer will be easy.

Post a list of your priorities.
