Are you sure the belt isn't slipping?

belt is not slipping, we tried to mess with it on the dyno and it seems like a boost leak or the intercooler being to small.

still made over 400 but it maxed out at 11 psi at 5500, that car could be nasty if it made full boost to redline!!

Interesting. I guess its possible the intercooler has reached max flow but it seems large enough to support more. Of course who knows what kind of core that is.

You might have a boost leak at the plenum . And you cant tell its there until you're in the upper boost levels . It happened to me . Cap off the exhaust and make a capped off pipe with a quick connect air fitting on the end of it . Disconnect the IC pipe right after the blower and hook up the pipe there . Hook up the air compressor set at 40 or 50 psi . Then listen for leaks . Works great .

It the boost is dropping two things come to my mind. The by-pass is not holding up at high boost levels or your reaching the efficency of the blower.

do a smoke test on that sucker. If the vaccum checks out and the belt isn't slipping then i would look to the intercooler.

The c-2 procharger can support a lot of power, and I don't think it is the intercooler either. Check the weaksauce ati provided bypass valve. I would upgrade to a bov for sure. If that doesn't fix it, try running it with the air filter off and see what that does. I remember a buddy of mine having an issue with the filter.

we were on a time frame and a budget on this. he has a Greddy RS bov on the car. i really feel like there is a simple boost leak with the car. i told him that i would get rid of the spacer cause it probably isnt helping the power levels and might be the cause of the leaks...

he was going to check all the piping and the plenum spacer

I had to triple up the gasket on the plenum to fix mine . The Crawford plenum warps a little when they weld it back together .

yeah man, that one hose/piping that was against the bumper reinforcement might be the issue, you should get a cheap U bend and bypass the IC too. that would be interesting to see

let me know man, as soon as you get it resolved, i will throw it back on my dyno and get that graph to keep pulling to redline, that would be nasty !!!
