It's been a few weeks since the last post and I just read them all expecting an ending to the story.

Any word or is it finished in another thread?

didn't get deleted, it was closed because it veered off topic, I think you added to that...
read about it here for the full story, we will be receiving the engine soon for further inspection...

Jesus, you really think GTM fabricated the findings?

Anyways, I spoke to Sam on Friday - I believe the motor is shipping out to Todd's tomorrow so that he can review the findings at his convenience. After such time, he and I will discuss options from there...

I believe there were 2 pictures posted that showed otherwise

GTM has addt'l pictures and findings from the teardown of the heads alone (machining anomolies), but at this point it probably would serve only to stir the pot more until BZM receives the motor...

those pictures showed carbon knocked off the piston but there was no deformation of the piston ,wich tells me it didn't touch, wich tells me the rest of the analysis is suspect.i really feel for your situation, and have been following your saga from the beginning and feel like you jumped from the frying pan to the fire.gtm answered none of my questions in the other thread and has acted in a way that seems self serving ,regardless of another builders reputation and your wallet.

Todd / Don - please update or start a new thread when BZM has had a chance to do their own inspection. I'm curious if both parties will come to agreement on the findings or if there will be some sort of conflict...

We will post the results, Don will be taken care of, this whole mess will come to an end.
I would hope that everyone will just hold their tongues, everything that has needed to be said has been said, and when we recieve the motor, we will check it out. Don: not saying they fabricated anything, but they didn;t explain the CAUSE of the problem, they simply presented symptoms- ironic- kinda like the western health care system

We want to know the cause to prevent an issue like this from ever happening again.

While its not certain WHAT happened as of yet, we have nothing to hide. If we made a mistake, we want to fix it and prevent it from happening again. The other thread will also serve as a lesson of how screwed up a situation can get when handled this way- all will be resolved soon and we will keep everyone posted as to what the verdict was...

I totally understand. After reading everything that was posted I am not ready to make any judgements. It's definitely too bad it turned out like this, I didn't expect any of that from the way this thread was going, seemed like everyone was going to play fair.

Definitely anxious to see how this drama plays out.

One thing I learned from it all. I am going to wait until I make my first million before I even think about going FI. I thought a built motor would be the safest way to go FI, but even with that, very expensive problems can arise.
