^ Well that's a little extreme. It IS a very good idea to have another car that you can drive in case everything goes south...

Buy a 911 Turbo and call it a day. Take the "extra" $8.7 million and spend it on coke and ****** Now that's a good investment

I post a request for an update and everyone gives me s--- for how I plan to spend my first million. LOL

Definitely won't wait that long to go FI, but this thread has definitely drove home the fact that you could drop 12 grand in your car and turn it into a lawn ornament. Having a back up or at least an extra 10 grand to fix things if it goes bad are a must.

No update as of yet. I've been advised that the motor has shipped - I imagine I'll hear from Todd upon completion of the inspection.

Good luck and keep us posted. I know that most of us are hoping you get this resolved quickly and with as little additional headache as possible...

finishing inspection soon... already spent 3 hours, a few more to go, we will assemble the engine partially to check deck height...will start another thread very soon with photo documentation, full description of all tests performed, and conclusion of issue (remember engine DID not fail- symptoms were power loss at higher boost pressures)...

Don, feel free to pm me or call me if you have questions/concerns
