Making a manifold like the top secret one would be awesome but you would need to use oval tubing and cut out the support in the center section of the hood unless you lowered the engine enough and had a custom set of exhaust manifolds made that could clear the steering knuckle due to the lowered engine.

look at this Edelbrock Victor 5.0.........

a similar design to that manifold would probably work well on our cars...

yes higher rpm potenial, the quicker we reach the redline, the quicker we produce a high flow of exhast gas. that's the key here, all the fancy tuning needed for an N/A car to accomplish that perfect balance between acceleration and top-end horsepower, is not needed for a turbo application. Thats the beauty of it all. Get the turbo(s)going as quickly and as efficiently as possible....they will take care of the rest.

My Dyno results show a smooth curve, no dead spots. I can assure you the short distance of the runners has only a positve effect.

I agree with engineer on that one.... my intake manifold by ssr-engineering has a pretty short runner for that purpose.... If I could have my same design with a front fed intake like top secret I would be happy.... shorter piping.. more power gain, and colder air!

Good work on doing something different, I am interested in seeing the results as well.

As far as a front-fed manifold, there is not much to work with between the timing cover and the hood.

props! Scott's (Relentless Autosports) strut bar for the Gs looks like it will fit this design as it sits forward.

maybe Scott can chime in - perhaps he can get a similar design for the Z.

Awaiting the dyno...
