Check your downpipe and the piping on your exhaust you have a exhaust leak somewhere.

You definitely messed something up. Start by checking all the vbands and make sure none popped apart. If they didn't start looking for the rip being ripped open, O2 sensor ripped off, etc...

Definately an exhaust leak. I hope you can do it yourself and not have to pay for someone to do it.

is there a common place where the exhaust leak could be coming from, like a certain place that happens kind of often?

Check the downpipe that has the latch that connects to the block. This broke on mine. Its in a tricky area to see all you can do is feel with your hands but you have to let the car cool down. I put on some gloves and felt the exhaust coming out on my hand. You see maybe when you bottomed out you hit the pipes causing this one to jerk cracking that little peice off.

Agreed. You HAVE an exhaust leak somewhere. Look for any carbon build up in around the block...

jack the car up, you probably took off the v band clamp that goes onto the downpipe at the bottom....
