Default Anyone have before and after dyno comparisons with bolt ons on ST/TT setups?

just wondering if anyone had done any before and after dyno testing on a turbo setup with any or all of the bolt ons (spacer, mrev, tp's, y-pipe, and I believe some people do headers on TN setups). Would be interested to see how bolt ons effect the curves of FI'd cars

you won't have the same extended rpm band as you did NA.

due to the pulled timing on a boosted car on pump gas, you'll lose some top end.

Well I know in your case header-to-turbo exhaust replacement with heat-wrapping would help the spool incredibly. Have you read about that???

Go search for the STS heat-wrapped exhaust, you might be surprised. Of course it's not on a 350Z b/c nobody has been incredibly expiramental with the kit yet since it's brand new, but it's been around a while on the Crap-maro's and Corvettes. See what they say helps out that kit.

There are some dyno charts floating around here of ST kits with various mods. I think Z PHAT Z has before and after with Stillen headers (he gained power by going back to stock) and then before and after with Borla exhaust (showed big gains on the bottom end). Search for that screen name and you should find them..

I think I have a few dyno's charts around. I have a stock dyno, then another one with just an injen exhaust, and then two more dyno's at a few different tunes after the ST went in.

Dyno charts (stock and with just the injen exhaust):

After my first tune with the APS ST... I don't think I ever scanned the last one they gave me.

It is really hard to compare them to us since we have a Rear-Mount Turbo. We don't know it yet if Rear-Mount Turbo like back pressure. I had some email exchange with Rick (STS Owner) regarding heat-wrap and he said it help a little but never said that it's a must for better performance. I think TegraRacer134 will be swapping Test Pipes/Y Pipe very soon so that will also give us an Idea. I guess the 5 of us (Sub zero, TegraRacer134, goosegoose me and you) will just have to share some info regarding changes we made coz there's not much out there yet

I'll be upgrading to a bigger FMIC (thanks to GurgenPB) and I'll let you know if that help but it might not apply to you since you have your charge pipe exposed on the side for better cooling. Mine is right next to the exhaust and that is why my IAT has gone up.

build the motor. I'm eventually probably going this route and would like to see someone else try it.
