HELP ! Vortech inline fuel pump do not kick in any more !!!!!
Hi there !
I need some help here...
I went to my tuning shop to get tuned
We did the first run, it was piggy rich !
we upload in SS box a new fuel mapping with only one cell correction... we did a new dyno and it was so lean !
we did 5 dyno run, with differents fuel mapping... and absolutely no change...still dangerous lean....!!!!!
after few hours of thinking... we found that after the first upload... the fuel pump did not kick in anymore...
any one know what happening here with the SSbox because it control the pump?
May I have to change some settings in R4 software menus ?

What happens when you first up load the maps for the first time, is the setting change . And before you write the changes to fuel and timing ,, you have to make sure all the sesttings for the fuel pump to come on are correct . It happened to me three years ago when I first went to tune my car . If you dont know about it before hand you can be stumped trying to figure out why it went lean on you and why the pump doesnt come on

If the settings are ok then check the 12+ lead that feeds the auxillary pump from the SS box. I seen the SS box fail on the (of all the cars it could happen too) the first Vortech/Sony supercharged 350Z.The 12+ to the auxillary pump went kapoot when I was tuning the car.I ended up hardwiring the pump to the battery for the dyno session till the SS was replaced.Good luck

Thanks for your help!
After I talk to Booger and update the output setting in the options menu. The pump start to kick again. What happen:
After the first read from the ssbox I didn't change the output settings because I was thinking that are ok and come from the ssbox. Error...
I change the Over pressure and rpm with recommandations of Booger.
After, I write to the ssbox with new settings and I keep my this in my R4 file.
Check pump with test light, I was ok!
Now I'm ready to go back on the dyno to tune my fuel curve because it
was piggy rich....
Thank again Boog!
