DRs not slicks, the radial tire wont lay down like a slick and dosent hook quite as good. Best I got was 1.9 60's with DR's. Now with MT ET Drags 26x10-15's I pulled a few 1.7's, even a high 1.6 one or twice. I would run 12.5lbs of air pressure in them and that would kill the traps compared to the DRs.

Never did a full boost dyno, but 130mph traps should be around 500whp, just boost, no juice.

Launching it on street tires was doable, but sorta a waste. Most street races from a stop are over by 50mph. From a roll it was a blast!!!

Doug, Im not entirely sure what the purpose of this thread is really. We all know that RSX's can be built to go fast. The owner of this car used some pretty nice parts, and got a quality tune. Therefor, it was made fast. The same can be said for almost any car.

This car is no way driving on the streets, with street tires, and putting it down. It would be a nightmare. It would be easier to control however then a Z with a ton of horsepower and traction issues. I understand what your saying there.

Maxima's are the *****. I agree, most people have no idea just how light they really are. I bet most people would think that they weigh more then the 2800lbs or so. Thats pretty close to S14's, RSX's, and many other smaller cars.

IT IS STILL AN RSX THOUGH. You can have a 1000hp civic. But it still is a piece of **** civic.

You can only polish a turd so much.

what do you do with 600+ HP with a fwd on a 8,5/9 (I don't even know if rims that wide will fit in an rsx)?

My argument is most 300whp FWD cars on street tires have issues hooking up. Your argument was "look at these fast guys on these foroums with Maximas" I know of them Doug, thery have DR's and slicks, making you rcome back at me irrelevant. slicks > dr's > street tires, I said 4X already street tire situations is what I am talking about!

Obviously I know mardigrasmax has more power than 300whp, it sucks to have slicks on and still have traction issues, goes to show you that even with tires they have issues! At the end of the day what is your point back at me? If its that 300whp in a FWD on regualr tires can hook up from 1st, then go back and read my previous post, show me...

I never one time said anything about my Z, or any high power Z losing a$$ when racing.

.
Maxima's with 190 hp don't hook good in 1st.. first gear is violent..

my point is.... hooking with FWD and a good amount of HP is not as hard as everyone A S S U M E S it is
