I recently had my blower repaired but I found out from Vortech what they did (replace all seals and bearings). You should ask them what did they do to your blower..

I did not found any metallic pieces in the piping or in the intercooler... even in the oil filter... and yes, I did open it... and my engine do not burn any oil...
I sent 2 mail to Vortech to know what was the cause of this... I never had any answer to my question...
I'm concerning about the 3.125 pulley... the blower is spinning faster... need more oil maybe ? I was thinking to put the stock one... but not sure...
Tell me if I'm wrong, but many here are running the 3.125 or the 2.87 without any prob... right ? any opinions on this point ?
one thing **** me off about the Vortech... it is the sound... you never know if it is normal... or what it is the normal noise for a Vortech... this is putting me under a stress know...

What about the 3.12.. The oil feed/flow is controlled by the oil pressure which is a function of how hard the engine is operating..With the smaller pulley the engine produces more power which raises the oil pressure and satisfies the blowers need for lubrication.. Self regulating system when functioning normally..

hummm... not true !
oil pressure is directly related to the RPM... so, with a smaller pulley, you boost more at the same RPM as the bigger pulley for the same oil pressure... so you produce more HP for the same oil pressure at the same RPM... for sure ! this is why I'm concern about the smaller pulley and the life of the Vortech...
any more opinions ?

well guys ! after 5 days with my new Vortech... I can tell you this...
my car is pulling a lot more with my new Vortech than the previous one... enought to take a appointement to the dyno shop to check the A/F ratio...
but, nothing in common between the prvious one and this one for the pulling force...
so, I assume the prvious one had a serious prob...

This thread makes me feel a little better. I went to get my vortech dyno tuned yesterday. He was ready to do his final dyno pull when it happened...real loud, sort of like metal grinding. I got the kit new and only had it installed for about 1 month. I didn't hit it hard either because I wanted a tune. Also, I didn't hit any substantial numbers during the tune. Starting to think it's all related.
I'm gonna do some troubleshooting today to verify, but I'm real glad for the Vortech warranty.

JCstart-Looks like my Vortech has the same issue as yours did. GTM did the install of my Vortech so they are taking care of everything (GTM FTMFW!!). Quick quesstion. How long did it take Vortech to get your SC back to you from when you first sent it out??

Hopefully it won't take that long. It would suck to be without my G for that long.
