Feel my pain guys !!!!
First, I bought this kit one or two months ago....
I put 2300 miles with the kit on my car, out of the box, without any probs... until yesterday...
Yesterday evening, I heard a strange noise that came from the Vortech... a jet plane engine BUT at the idle... normaly the Vortech kit is making a lot of noise at the idle, but not like this...not before...? and the noise went away after few minutes....
Today, I took my car to go to work... and the stange noise was there at the morning start, but more louder....
I took my car out for the dinner, same thing, BUT this time the noise did not get away... and as I drove, it starded to became lounder... I stopped the car, on the side of the road and I simply remove the cogged belt, behind the Vortech... and the 15 amp fuse for the inline fuel pump...
at the end of my working day, today... I remove the air filter from the Vortech and OH MY GOD !!!!
we can see some contact traces between the turbine impeller and the housing... and it is pretty hard to turn with my hand...
I spoke with injected performance today...
We will see...
I will let you know the GOOD or the BAD customer servive I will have....for sure....
man... two months old kit !
I will post some pics later today.... you will see what I mean...

I used to have a vortech. The only major problem they really have is the sound of rocks in the blower at idle and that's not even a problem. That's just how the blower sounds. You should be fine. I am sure they will warranty it. Good luck.

that rocks in the blower sound is solved just by raising the idle
going to a 3.12 or 2.87 or 34 tooth rear cog pulley helps too by spinning the blower faster so the noise stops
that's an unrelated issue to the blower being damaged though in this case

Yeah I know how it's fixed. I didn't mean to imply the rocks sound was the cause of this damage. I was simply trying to say that I've never really seen any major problems with the vortech except for the rocks sounds which isn't even a problem.
Thats sucks we just got your other R4 problem figured out . It only a few months old , Vortech will cover the blower . All you need to do is call Vortech and tell them whats going on . They will give you a number to put on the box you ship it in . While you have it off , check the intercooler pipe all the way to the intercooler to make sure no shavings of the impeller is in there . Let us know how it goes
