you do realize that you can blow your motor with a Greddy Kit and 5.5 PSI of boost right? because the ECU gets wacky with the Timing and BOOOOOOOOOOOM

You mean pulling timing when it senses knock. That's there to keep it from going boom.

No it doesn't. The boost controller, or the WG, or the pulleys(SC) do.

No, I'm getting all the fuel I need. 11.0:1 from 3000 to 7100.

Perfect, I’ll need one item less - my vendor is not going to like this. LOL

I guess you already have oil cooler?

I've got an old Earl's laying around. It's been on several cars from Porsche to Pontiac. No kidding. I just don't feel the need for it. Easier just to change the oil at 2K miles. Oil pressure's good(shrugs).

the stock ecu cant read boost, it just meters air through the MAFS and im guessing they just offset the voltage when they flash it. When you use and aftermarket ecu such as the utec, it gives it the ability to run on speed density instead of mafs voltage so you can actually control injector pulse width relative to rpm and load rather than just tricking the ecu into thinking voltage is lower.

much more accurate and stable imho

I predict that one of two things will happen...these guys will post a thread about how their motor went BOOM....or they will never be heard from again. Either way...good luck!

Personally having a TN reflash that on MY car never ran right-likely due to my additional mods making it lean, I will say this.... I know Technosquare has a few guys in PR tuned @ 8psi on Greddy kits with no issues (a few on here who I havent seen in a while), and I know those guys run their cars hard. If you flash all 3 of the ECU's maps the timing wont be funny it will always be the same parameters. I dont think its the best option, but I do believe it can be done in most stock block cases with "success"

Just my 2 cents

They told me they're still using the MAF and O2 sensors. My AFR is a flat 11 within a couple of tenths (+ or - .2). With the ss box piggyback that had a boost sensing connection my AFR was all over the place between 9 and 12 AFR. What is speed density? What sensor does it hook up to. I have an 05 with the wideband O2 sensors. That could make all the difference. I don't know. Doesn't the UTEC only adjust timing +-2 degrees. That's not much.

You're thinking of the Cypher.

Could be. That's why I asked, instead of making an uninformed statement.

no you can basically do whatever you want with timing on the UTEC
