I was looking at it.. But i dont think a spacer would be possible.. Simply because... gimme a sec.... When you put the pulley on the tension rod which holds the pulley from the inner portion about half is inside the pulley.. The other half is kind of like a half bearing which is held on by the bolt in front

Ep3 is right, This has been done before.. i believe Dr. Bonz did it first like 3 years ago... It resulted in a quieter running system.. since then, some people put it on top (like i used to) and some people put it on bottom.. This is not a totally new revelation..

EDIT: i tried to find the post for you but search totally blows .. I did find one post by Dr Bonz where he alludes to this belt swapping in another post (that i can't find)..

coming along ok.. thanks for asking.. I just have the typical bugs like leaky oil feed line and power steering.. but hopefully she'll hold together until the winter where the build begins.. As much as I loved the procharger for the 3.5 years that i had it, the twins are a lot more fun with an open road.. even in stock form.. and a ton quieter too

Yep, that was my white Z. I did it several years ago. I didn't feel it made much, if any difference. It just seemed to make since. Nice write up though.
