I am posted just before getting on a plane, so I have to keep this brief.

Right now, for our track cars, the fans are wired to the ECU with one speed, which is fine. However, we still need to figure how to wire the fans, so that the fans will come on when the AC comes on...regardless of coolant temp. The AC will work much better if the fan is on.

We'll post a wiring diagram shortly.

You sure could...if you have a brake, an AC tig welder, and know what you are doing.

a 40 inch brake is only $150 from harbour freight and why would you need a tig welder? gas weld or over lap with rivets would be more than you need ,plus you get a new tool ,think of all the cool stuff you could make all for less than $250

true, but on a difficulty scale four bends and two holes are about as easy as a first brake project can get!

Gas welding aluminum, or overlap with rivets? I guess anything is possible. Give it a try and let us know how it works out.

We made this for local in-house cars. Of course anyone can build their own if they prefer.

your fab guy cant gas weld aluminum ? i was trying to be polite ,but $250 is outragous for such a simple project ,your post oozes arrogance and let me tell you a custom fan shroud with aftermarket fans is hardly ground breaking work!

So what is a fair price in your estimation?

With all due respect, IMO Forged prices are not outrageous as you elude. I can't tell you how many times they have done work, given advice and installed parts at no charge. Last time I was there he literally spent a few hours fine tuning the idle at no charge. There is more to it that just the cost of parts.
