First off as others have stated a compression test and leak down should have been done when you decided to boost a car with over 100,000 miles on it. Second you added a boost controller to the mix but I would be curious if you hooked up the boost signal lines to the wastegate correctly. I sincerely doubt the reflash has anything to do with this. The reflash doesn't control boost its only tuned for 8 PSI. I'm not saying its the end all be all solution but you can't blame the tune for this one. A boost controller, improperlly hooked up boost signal lines, no AFR gauge, and a motor with over 100,000 miles are all a recipe for disaster. Hell if I was boosting a motor with over 100,000 miles with so much as a snorkel I would get a leakdown and compression test.
damn dude!!! what ahppened? did someone install the boost reference signal to the wategate into the wrong port on the wastegate. doing so would hold the wastegate shut, rather than opening it!
Im running the reflash, apexi exhaust, motodyne spacer and hitting 8.5 consistently with no problems. Wideband is always showing sub 11's afr at full boost.
I guess the 1800.00 to have a professional shop install the kit was well worth it!

If you downloaded the base map from TurboXS and took the car out and hit full boost without verification, you wouldn't blame it on the UTEC.
sounds like no wastegate line. this is one of two things, tuning error or install error.
these motors have A LOT of room for playing around. it would be very very hard to blow a motor on wastegate springs alone on the TN kit.
next time around, please take it to a shop and have ti installed and/or tuned.
the reflash will work just fine on stock boost. not recommended for sure but it will "work"

I would have done a comp and leakdown first though, but deff not too many miles.

im hoping and almost positive it was the tune / boost issue. was too careless to make sure EVERY step was completed and safe. ill make sure its fully tuned, all gauges hooked up and ready to go, and probably moderate engine build the 2nd time around.

I will agree on the next post with the oil consumption though.
Did this thing ever burn oil? Low oil and scarred bearings will cause for much trouble eventually down the line.
I still think it was the tune or overboost though.
