Default Stock injectors and 3.12 pulley help.

I was wondering if you guys changed your stock injectors after changing the pulley to the 3.12. I am currecntly running the 3.33 stock voretch pulley and was plannning on changing that pulley to the smaller 3.12 and was worried about the injectors being able to do their job. Thank you for all your help

Working and having margin or reliability (duty cycle) with stock inj's is something to be concerned about..

my goal is around 380-400, I've read that this is achievable on the stock injectors.

LOL.... In my case that is correct, but my car will blow the doors off a 911 turbo, no chance at all. A good friend of mine has a new 997 turbo and it is very nice, but I still prefer the RAW power of my car

In the classifieds you can find some injectors in the $300 range, hope that helps!

My understanding was it was guesstimated the rwhp approx matches cc of injectors, but you could always go bigger. I may go 440s and the utec on my st, but that said i ran my vortech with 3.12, hfc, stillen dual, all on stock injectors. Id say do it till you can afford 380s or 440's and a tune.

Do you know what the duty cycle on your stock injectors is at?

I say spend a little bit more and get the injectors. Why take the chance of maxxing out your stock injectors trying to reach 400whp? I am at 384whp on a very conservative tune with 550cc injectors. I basically have enough fuel at this point for 500hp. Once I get my hfc's, I'll easily hit 400whp, once again on a very conservative tune and I won't have to worry about getting enough fuel bacause I know that I have more than enough fuel.

Do you still have the Vortech FMU/Aux fuel pump on line?

I ran my 3.12 pulley with stock internals and was getting 380whp to the wheels with no problem. And it was my daily driver.

yeah, i'm still using the aux pump and fmu...

duty cylce i'm not sure of... The ss box is suppose to have the numbers turn red once you are over 85% duty cycle, but i don't know if the cc is set in the box from ss or vortech. None of the numbers are red though.

Nexx.. My Z is a dd and sees the track more than most cars. I haven't had any problems with the stock injectors. i watch my wideband religously under wot.. Will they eventyually fail, of course.
