The other thing to check is the large o-ring that the fuel buckets sits on and you tighten the 6 little 8mm's down onto.

Did you recently get into the fuel assembly? Im thinking its the o-ring too or maybe you set one of the 6 or 7 screws into the assmebly too deep and maybe punctured the tank. I had the exact same issue but i used a screw that didn't go with the assmebly and punctured the tank. Used a gas resistant glue and filled the hole with proper Nissan screws and used a new o-ring and problem solved.

I just got a second notice from the dealer on the recall. I've been putting it off because I to have a non stock exhaust (Borla) and was wondering what the dealer would do. I will have to check a couple of dealers to see which one is tuner friendly before I get it done.

Default gas leak / complete shut down

hello, everyone.
so, last night I experienced the same problem Zridder19 mentioned. while driving, my Z just shut down. I coasted to the side, then smelled gas, and noticed that it was leaking in the same place. passenger side, right below the fuel pump area.
could this truly be the O-ring issue? the full engine shutting down is what caught me off guard. Yes, the fuel pump was recently replaced, but not the factoring O-ring. I have an 08'. Any insight/experience is appreciated^^
