How much to twin turbo a 350z?
My questions are thus:
How much would it cost to do a twin turbo on a 350z to make it run like my 02 Z06? Basically 4.0-4.1 to 60 and 12.4-12.5 in the quarter mile. Would twin turbos do the job with a stock motor? I don't wish to compare the two cars, just find out how much it would cost to do a motor to make a 350z as fast as my current car. I would'nt mind trying to twin turbo a Z car. Any thoughts?
Thanks in advance.

The right way..IMO is JWT or Aps Twins..w/proper fuel setup and F-Con for ecu....Thats around 10-12k...
but then you also have a stock motor..thats another 5-8k....if you wanna build it...
Stick w/the z06....I would trade mine for that....in a heartbeat..actually i might do it now...

I love the 350z, and I would have to stay will low boost, because I am not interested in building a motor, and the car would be driven everyday. Thanks for all the great replies. You guys won't believe that a friend of mine had a custom tuner here in town put twin turbos on his NEW Z06 with the stock motor. It laid down over 600rwhp on the dyno. It is a monster. 5lbs of boost on each turbo. I will post some pics for you guys.
Thanks again.
Thanks again.

Yeah, if you wanted to go the cheapest route I'd say a Turbonetics kit and an aftermarket clutch. You could do that with gauges and other addons for about 7k if you did the installs yourself.
I'm not intending to sell you anything, but I agree that JT has some nice deals on Turbonetics packages.

I am not FI so take what I say with a grain of salt. I am looking/have been looking for a similar setup as you. I drive everyday but would like to beat some stock vette's etc... General rule of thumb I've seen is 400hp on a stock motor. That said, you may put on an intake and something will break or you may put down 500hp and everything lasts. No one can pin point because every motor is different.
My current list with some "ballpark" prices:
Greddy Twins, UTec, RPS 6 puck with flywheel, boost a/f and fuel pressure gauges, Blitz boost controler and turbo timer, plus guestimated install prices is a little over $11,000. Recently I have been thinking about the HKS F-Con is instead of UTec which I think adds a couple hundred and also a fuel return system. Also looking at APS twins instead of Greddy (comes with fuel return).
Just keep in mind, speed alone really isn't that expensive. Speed + reliability + doing it right is a lot of money! And the alternative is even more expensive(speed done wrong + repairs)

If you want to cut corners you could do a Single for like 3500 used, buy a walbro for 100, buy a used fuel system for like 650, utec used for likr 600, and the a clutch (300) and used exhaust (550) and a tune (for like 500) Prosport gauges for like $70 (35 a pop).
Spend a total of 6300 or so ... all DIY obviously. And those are fair market prices for used items. Doing everything NEW add an easy 1500 or more.
