I didn't know you had Brembos...skinnies won't fit over Brembos so you'll have to go with the smallest radial that fits your wheels and fits over Brembos. I was talking with JT this morning and you might want to try a 225 or something close to that.
I think my GF's stock Z wheels have 225's on them, we may have put 245's on hers like I did to my stock rims. I'll try that and hope for the best. Thanks for the ideas guys.
Jeremy, what would you suggest for front skinnies? I need 17" wheels to fit over my Brembos!! Anybody have any ideas? Id rather run the bias play slicks than step down to drag radials in the rear...I didnt have issues with my old setup on the short run I had previously done, Im going to look into my rear toe settings as well compared to my old alignment.
Philthy... I think has some custom skinnies and rear wheels (slick) to fit his Brembos, but from the looks of them they dont look cheap.
you could also look for a solid rear? with your power, it would help with the axle breaking problems?
Not even an option. There is a misconception that Im a "drag racer", while I like doing it, I love taking my Z through some twisties as well. Id never compromise handling/well rounded car for drag racing. My car can accelerate, turn and stop with the best of them, I wouldnt change that for a 1/4 time.

I feel the same way, I've given up on trying to put down record times drag racing. I find it fun, but also appreciate more that the car can handle through the back roads.

Dude! For the sake of saftey, just run some Dr's and call it a day. IMO it's not worth it for you to break somthing again. At the end of the day, if you run 10's with Dr's it would probably be a even greater acomplishment. I am going there and doing 4 passes on low boost and try to get as close as I can to 10's, after that I am doing one or two passes on High boost and calling it a day, retiring the car from Drag racing, and concentrating, on these Time attacks events / track days. I wanted to prove to the community that FP built motors do really put down the HP at the track. I think I did that with a week suace 11.6 with 480 ponies on a full up street car. I am entering my first "Redline Time Attack " with this car at VIR (modified street class) this comming 6-7 Oct, and thats all you'll see me do as far as racing. Hopfully I can workout any suspension bugs this weekend at "Barber Motorsport Park".

Are your drag racing days are pretty much behind you after this race?
No offense to Julian but Im not out to beat him, Im out on the track for me, and my personal goals-if my car is set up properly seeing him in the rearview will only be a bonus This will be a challenge, it may take 5 runs to reach my goal, it may take 100, but I'll get there. Once I do, I'll pretty much hang up drag racing. I am brutal on my car when racing (the way it should be!) and I usually break parts when I go, so its a lot of $$$ just to brag about a time.
