p300 code
I just completed my build and I just started the engine for the first time last week and within a few minutes I got the same code. It means a misfire, and a lot of folks chimed in saying that once I get it tuned it "may" go away, secondly that cel lights are a standard with built engines, and to get used to it.
I don't particularly like these answers, but I guess once I get it tuned, I will find out. If you find out before, please don't hesitate to share your findings.
Not sure if it has anything to do with the UTEC, but I am looking into an aftermarket EM anyway down the line...maybe a VPRO or Haltech.

no the light stays on.i've turned it off several times.like i said the light comes on when the motor is warming up. the first start up of the day or when the car sits for awhile and the temps go down
Thats weird.. I reset it and it doesnt come back on for months.. The code sometimes comes on from my ****ty start ups with the 750cc inj.. The codes are normal and i really dont care..
Even when i get an inspection i dont care enough to reset it and the site still gave me my sticker..

When I first had my built motor installed I was getting them frequently, the P0300 misfire code can be caused by a lot of various things, one of them being fuel pressure. Once I got the fuel line issues fixed it only came on when I filled the tank, I'd get it upon start up. It finally went away for about 5000 miles until I got a random one yesterday.
I say yours is fuel pressure related, the ECU has various tests it performs one of them being a warm up cycle, either the FP is too high or too low at some point durring the cycle. This is just a guess on the experience I had with my install.
If you do connect a code scanner, depending on what model, it can tell you if you have "Pending" ecu code and it will have freeze frame data that will indicate the specific conditions that caused the malfunction light to turn on.
