Yes it can be done. Getting flange should be fairly easy. My only concern with doing this on an older style piping is the location of the dump. If you install the wastegate relocation Turbonetics provided to cure the over boost issue its a much cleaner shot for an open dump.

Will adding an open dump void my the warranty on my Turbonetics kit???

Also anyone have some good sound clips of the noise it makes.

has anyone had any over boosting problems with a TN w/ open dumps and 3" single? Ive seen people upgrade their wastegate to prevent this, is it necessary?

Okay..I like some things about the open dump but as I get more into it I find if I'm really moving (maybe 80+ mph) the boost is "held back" somehow. Maybe with the higher wind speeds it causes some issues. I don't get this at lower speeds. I could understand spiking but difficultly hitting higher boost?! Yes the open dump is vent towards back of car...
