off of any manifold pressure source, such as the bov or map sensor (if you are running a utec) etc

chances are your gauge reads vacuum as well as positive pressure (boost) so you definitely want to put it on the engine side of the throttle body so the gauge can read the vacuum pressure as well. don't put it by the BOV. if you do you won't read vacuum at all. and it doesn't really matter where you tap your intake manifold. i tapped mine right after the throttle body on the rear of the manifold as there is plenty of room back there. and remember, when drilling and tapping it to dip the drill bit (and later the tap) in some thick oil on the last drill (or tap) right before you fully penetrate it thus having all the shavings stick to the bit and/or tap instead of falling down into the manifold and getting sucked down into the motor. let us know how it goes. good luck.

I just had mine "t" into the vacuum line at the intake manifold. I only had a 0-30psi gauge, no negative. It did fine for me. I wasn't to worried about the negative.

you can tap it anywhere, maybe somewhere on the left side. if you have a vortech s/c you have run a line to fmu, bpv, and its all on that side it will be a nice short run. from one tap i ran to my boost gauge, bpv and fmu.

you put the hose from the top of the bpv, to the intake manifold. your kit should of brought a T-fitting that goes to the fmu as well.boost gauge/ vortech s/c???-bpv.jpg

Then T it off of any vacuum source coming off of the manifold.

Can I T it off the brakebooster vacuum line off the plenum? At least I'm pretty sure its the breakbooster line. It's the line that goes where to the battery compartment.

Another question, is it bad if I run 3 things off the same vacuum source? I need to run the SS box, Vortech Bypass valve, and a boost gauge.

you can T it off the brake booster if you want but i wouldnt. if you do , there is a check valve in that line, you will need to tap in between the manifold and that check valve. if you squeeze the line, you can feel it..

best thing to do in my opinion is purchase a throttle body spacer with vacume ports. AAM makes one it has three additional ports. i have my boost gauge, fuel pressure regulator and utech boost sensor on the spacer ports. my bov is hooked to the oem vacume port on the upper plenum.
