Default CJm Stage 2 - Slow Leak

Well, recently when I had my car up on the rack, my shop noticed that the fitting that joins the hardline to the fuel output hose had a droplet of fuel on it, they retightened it but it still seems to have a VERY slow leak. Anyone else have this problem? Is it a major concern? Could the reason there is a leak be because I am @ ~58PSI fuel pressure? I know that is higher then normal.

Thanks,
Aaron

Try using some teflon tape or teflon paste on the threads, that should seal it up.

I thought teflon was not fuel resistant

I wouldn't use tape, it can shred and get in your fuel system, and you surely don't want that. Plus it will probably break down over time and start leaking again. If it's an AN line, you shouldn't need anything at all, just tighten it more. If it's NPT, use a liquid thread sealer rated for oil/fuel use.

I'm assuming it's probably an AN line. Can you not tighten it another 1/4 turn or so?

Sounds like it is the hard line adapter. The piece that actually crimps onto the stock hard line. This has to be very tight. Make sure that you don't tighten the AN fitting while you are tightening the hard line adapter. And don't use Teflon tape for the reasons mentioned above.

I am sure Phunk will chime in as well. If not I will let him know later today when I talk to him.

Thanks, oh by the way I am not using the stock hard line. I will attempt to tighten it more.
