I've read the USCC article and I am stunned by the 13.36 1/4 mile by the G35. The road course times were great, but that strip time is BAD. Or am I wrong. It dyno'd at 505hp/468tq. I just figured with those numbers it should be in the 12's. I also recall in the November issue that it was to have AWD. I guess not. I just expected more. Either way, its point total was good enough for third. It stopped from 80mph in 168 feet. 168 FEET! Very impressive.

 

The braking was great, but..... This is that VRT G35 (with VRT edited off it). The roadcourse time was good because it was driven by a professional driver and from what I heard alot of the other drivers were lesser skilled and either had car troubles or trouble even making a full lap without driving off the track into the dirt.

I much more prefer this cars coverage a year and a half or two ago in the same magazine. Back when it was first done, before Scott and Mark left VRT to its demise and MR A screwed up that company (and that car). The first feature was with Scott Busch, aka wa2good driving this car and the magazine spread was more factuall and well written. I speak with the editors of SCC all the time.

It is a FI car, and this VRT thing was a pretty big "topic hit" in the FI section.

 

Yea, but it's referring to track times though. I'm putting wheels spacers on tomorrow and my car is FI, should I post that here also? Not trying to make it an issue. That's just how I see it. I'm pretty sure others would agree.

 

I haven't seen the hard copy yet, but I heard the Audi won. They had Tanner Faust driving the G according to the website.

The article is not about track times. It is about the Ultimate Street Car Challenge.(acording to SCC) If you had and saw the magazine you would see that it is all about 6 or so very different aspects of the car, show appearance, track times, creature comforts, drivability, fuel milage, and severall aspects of performance. Almost all the cars in the article are FI, and and the car mentioned in the OP post is a G35. I think that is plenty of reason for him to post it here if he wants to.

You said it yourself, the article is not about track times, but this thread is. So should be placed in drag forum. The OP didn't state anything about the car being FI. So that means it has no relation to the section. Even if he did, you don't come to the FI forum to post times, braking and etc. I'm done here!!! Nice to chat with you. It would be fun to have some beers and discuss this though. The rules have/had been laid down. Don't need to get banned. This is all I have. LOL.
