Default bogging issue under boost.

hey guys i have a vortec sc kit on my car just last night for the first time i have this issue now.
when i punch the car or floor it my car bogs over 4.5 rpm and it wont accelerate its weard almost like tractin come on feels the same but no lighs blinking or anything.
i can rev above 4.5 rpm if normal driveing but if i want to pick up fast this keeps happing. im wondering if it could be a traction control problem? cause i did just put differnt size tires on the rear and there a bit smaller then stock.. however this heppend even if i turn traction control off.
anyone have any ideas?
ps no check lights came on and the car seems great under normal driveing.
where should i take it do u think its a super charger problem or should i go to the dealership?

Sounds like it's too rich, do you have a wideband?

Have you looked into mechanical issues, like boost leaks, spark plugs, maf, etc.?

Are you turning your VDC off? If you turn it off and it still has the problem it should take that problem out of the picture. You really need to invest a few hundred dollars and take it somewhere to get it tuned, you could be running way rich or way lean who knows. Of course this isn't going to be a noticable issue under normal driving when the pressures in your engine are much less. Now that you have a $6000+ supercharger yes you should invest $250 in a AEM Air/Fuel gauge! A boost gauge wouldn't hurt either. This could also be a simple as something hooked up wrong or left unplugged, that's always the fun part of doing something that major to your car

Usually if it is running way too rich there will be fuel on your rear bumper after driving it around for awhile. But a gauge is the only way to really tell.

i have had the car tuned though it has been done befor would it all of a sudden just start runing rich from weather change? or something its been runing great for a cupple years now and i havent changed anything so i dont think i could have messed with the tune.
thanks for the hints though ill check some of that out however i dont think its rich cause the exhaust smells fine and there is no black stuff on the exhaust or bumper.

Could your belt be slipping on the supercharger? Maybe the belt is loose and needs to be tightened, therefore your car "bogs" under hard acceleration? I did extensive research on Vortech's S/C because i was once interested in getting one and read about belt slippage. Maybe check your S/C belts...

I had this exact problem. I changed the spark plugs and that didn't help. I tightened the belt and it was still there. It went away one day after I went to autozone and had them check for codes because I thought I didn't tighten the gas cap enough. They found a different code. Can't remember what it was but I had them reset it and now the car is running fine again. I haven't gotten a check engine light since. So I would suggest having your codes checked just in case.

What is your exact setup? supporting mods? engine management?

Does it happen in every gear?

My dad had a similar thing with the Vortech on his Firebird. It was a slipping belt. He described it more like the car was shutting off, than a bog, though.
