What would I need to throw in a additional wideband ? the DM-100 + SM-AFR...? Only reason being when the sun enters the cabin..the HKS knock is completeley un-readable.

The sensor modules are tiny. I fit 3 of them inside the dash and put the DM-100 sensor in the cubby.

to have two widebands you would need just two SM-AFRs. (DM100 + SMAFR +SMAFR).

The modules are tiny. Here are some pics I took of them. The larger one is the DM100 module. You would only have one of those (assuming you only use one DM100 gauge). the smaller one is the size that all of the sensor modules are, how many of those you have depends on how many sensors you hook up to it. I have two, one for the SM-AFR, and one for the SM-FluidTemp (you can hook up 2 sensor probes to an SM-FluidTemp module).

The SM-AFR (wideband) is $200, all the other sensors are cheaper. $105 for TWO fluid temperature sensors, etc. If you look around you can find package deals. For instance I purchased a DM-100 (the gauge itself) and SM-AFR (wideband) for $379. Then I purchased an SM-FluidTemp which comes with two sensors for $105. So the initial outlay is for a gauge and a sensor, but after that, you can hook up additional sensors for relatively cheap. The DM-100 can display 4 parameters at one time - for instance I have AFR, water temp and oil temp all on one gauge and I still have the ability to hook up the oil pressure gauge when it is released.

You would pay WAYYYYYYYYYY more for the autometer nexus setup. For example to monitor the exact same parameters as with my PLX setup would cost:

$225 for the control module
$400 for the wideband
$400 for two temperature modules

That's $1025 and you have to mount 3 individual gauges rather than one, and you have much arger control module to mount. The PLX modules are tiny.

They are coming out with a DM-200-OBD which is pretty neat. It has all the functions of the DM-100 gauge (you can connect up to 32 different sensor modules to it) and it displays all the onboard diagnostic data from your OBD port, which is quite useful for some people.
Gotcha - I was just thinking from a standpoint of having individual gauges for each metric (as opposed to having 3 functionalities on one gauge), then the costs are not as appealing.

Thanks for the comparative photos of the SMs - they're quite a bit smaller than I had imagined.

nice tosee the modules are so small.

I'd like to custom make a single pod that sits on the steering column (nicer than the E-pod). with 1 gauge, I could monitor all sorts of stuff.........lots of possibilities.

I have the full innovate set up and the XD 16 "universal" gauge just pales in comparison to this new PLX set up. I'm switching as soon as the pressure module is released.

Does anyone know what the cable ends look like that plug in to the back of the gauge? I can see one end looks like a bulky VGA connector. That will be difficult to route. Hoping the end that plugs in to the gauge is small...

^looks like a usb cable is the connection. If you look at the box it has the dm-?? under the usb slot.

These gauges look very promising. Itd be sweet to fill a triple gauge pod with these and run their "coming soon" obdII scanner on one, a/f, oil temp, fuel pressure, vac/boost on the other, and have the third do some graphing. I may have to research it more but i want data logging capabilities and if the price is right i might just get them.

It's just hard wired into the gauge, there is no plug on the other end

The USB connectors are for the 4 button remote, and your computer.

As of today, PLX does not offer any kind of Fuel/Oil Pressure module. This setup is incomplete until one is released.

Great setup if your going to run a single gauge, but as soon as you want a couple more, then it's going to get expensive!

Nice gauges though.

Does the 350Z ECU have a fuel pressure sensor from the factory that can be read from the OBDII port???

If so, the DM-200 OBD will display that..... If it does, I wonder if the stock fuel pressure provides the same reading/information a standalone gauge would??

I am not aware of one.

The easiest way to monitor fuel pressure is to get an adapter like this one:

this one is from AAM, but a few others make them, too. Stillen has one, too IIRC.

MOst people use these adapters when hooking up a nitrous system, but it works well for getting a fuel pressure reading, too.

asa far as a PLX module for liquid pressure readings, I would hope they come up with a module soon. alot of people want to be able to monitor fuel and oil pressures!
