check out these new gauges from PLX Devices!!!
this new gauge from PLX Devices is really raising the bar on gauges! It won the SEMA best new product award, too.
You can fully cusotmize it; there's too much to describe. just go to their website to see all it can do: http://www.plxdevices.com/

I have the M300 Wideband and I love it. Not that this is pertinent to this thread but.... I needed it modified to fit in the Nav space of my '03. I worked with them and they modified it for me. I doubt you would get that type of service from any other company. Two thumbs up to PLX

I think there is a datalogging device for it. There are a bunch of modules. I think you can run 4 inputs into one gauge.....like boost, fuel pressure, A:F, and EGT all in one gauge!!!! I also like how, for example on the boost gauge, you can set the gauge to track the boost (like a graph) during a run. that would be great to see how stable your boost is without having to whip out the laptop and log a run.

I can't wait to see these in person! the only drawback I see are the size of the sensor modules. I don't know where you'd put a bunch of them.

I have a new in box PLx dm-100 gauge available if any one wants it. It is the gauge you guys are talking bout, can daisy chain up to 32 g
modules together on scrole through them on one gauge. It comes with a remote to navigate it.

I have 1 DM-100 with 4 sensor modules 2 A/F and 2 EGT, one for each bank. So far I'm really happy with them. Later I'm planning on getting another DM-100 display, OBD module and datalogger when available.
The sensors allow the user to set warnings such as boost greater than 5 and A/F greater than 15. Once the pressure sensors are available you could do the same with fuel pressure warning based on boost pressure.

I was going to get the DM-100 but when I added up the prices of all the sensors to go with, I went with a couple seperate DM-5's and the DM-5 + SM-AFR. But it is conventient for those that don't show their Z and only want one gauge somewhere.

gauge is cool but to get it to work is kinda lame imo.. it can run 32 sensors, i can just see 32 of those red sensor boxes stacked some where. at least defi's all the sensors are linked to one control unit.

About $290 for the gauge/display module, and an addt'l $89 - $149 for a sensor module for each function. So, in essence, $400 for each fully operational gauge
For that money, the Autometer Nexus series seems a bit more appealing...

The display unit is $250. Then you pay for each sensor module that hooks to it (up to 32 of them, though realistically who would need to monitor 32 parameters). The SM-AFR (wideband) is $200, all the other sensors are cheaper. $105 for TWO fluid temperature sensors, etc. If you look around you can find package deals. For instance I purchased a DM-100 (the gauge itself) and SM-AFR (wideband) for $379. Then I purchased an SM-FluidTemp which comes with two sensors for $105. So the initial outlay is for a gauge and a sensor, but after that, you can hook up additional sensors for relatively cheap. The DM-100 can display 4 parameters at one time - for instance I have AFR, water temp and oil temp all on one gauge and I still have the ability to hook up the oil pressure gauge when it is released.
You would pay WAYYYYYYYYYY more for the autometer nexus setup. For example to monitor the exact same parameters as with my PLX setup would cost:
$225 for the control module
$400 for the wideband
$400 for two temperature modules
That's $1025 and you have to mount 3 individual gauges rather than one, and you have much arger control module to mount. The PLX modules are tiny.
They are coming out with a DM-200-OBD which is pretty neat. It has all the functions of the DM-100 gauge (you can connect up to 32 different sensor modules to it) and it displays all the onboard diagnostic data from your OBD port, which is quite useful for some people.
