Default Turbonetic ST + exhaust question

Hi I have turbonetic turbo kit on my 2003 350z. I have stock exhaust and in few weeks I will like to upgrade my Z with aftermarket exhaust. I read in turbo magazine that Turbonetics reports that the factory exhaust system made more power than an aftermarket setup. Is this truth??? If not, what is the best exhaust that will work well with turbonetic ST. Is it Nismo , Stillen Single Path Cat-Back Exhaust, or Injen?? Is it 2.5” or 3” exhaust?? What kind of extra hp can I expect?
I also am thinking about installing Motordyne Isotherm 5/16" spacer. Will this work with turbonetic?? Will I gain or loose hp.
Thanx guys for your time.

I wouldn't think that TN would state that. But who knows for sure? They might of stated that it made certain power on stock exhaust system.

It would hard to say what works best with the TN system. All are going to be pretty close to each other IMHO. You can't really say what gains to expect. I wouldn't say a hole lot. If you got the exhaust and spacer you might see some good gains, but minimal also. Just try a search, maybe pm some people on there system. I have a Greddy EVO2 that's been modified. But I don't think it's loud enough. That's me though, I like real loudness. But it has a decent deep sound.

whatever exhaust you get make sure its a 3" or wider.

im runing a costum made 3.5" single exhaust (no can = no restrictions)

if you dont mind the single exhaust look, i would look into a single exhaust 3" or wider.

You should gain some power with an open exhaust. I wouldn't say that you needed a single or even anything more than 3". Even a nismo exhaust would be better than stock (I made plenty of power on my fujitsubo).

My JIC single made more power than the Fuijitsubo...but it's not worth the deafness you incur.

Keep in mind that the Turbo Mag article was written in the VERY early days of the Z when there weren't really any 3" downpipe/y pipe back exhausts available.

What you guys think about JIC-Magic Spartan DE Type 2 SUS exhaust? Exhaust comes with a large 76.3mm piping that's 3.2". I think it will work well with ST.Price-$769
