Question 5At turbo Z, worth it?

When I bought my z I didn't have plans to turbo it. I have been thinking about it lately and I was wondering what am I expected to spend on a setup to reach 400HP? And is it worth turboing a auto Z? It seems to me that it cost more to turbo a manual, I can be wrong.

Any input? I'm happy with the power now but I have never owned a turbo car and I think it would be nice to do for a project. If not ill stick with bolt-ons

What would that run? I was also thinking of supercharger, just because all other auto cars I seen have been supercharged

+1 you will only come up slightly less on your whp because you have an auto. The kit that I have made 347 to the wheels and the exact same kit tuned by the same guy made 364whp with a 6mt.

I honestly don't know and when you go FI its a never ending process of spending $$$$.
Other than tuning and putting the nitrous on, I did all the work myself so its basically the cost of all the mods. Here's a quick list of what I have:

APS TT-Crawford Plenum-Zex N20-Greddy TT Exhaust-APS 3.5 test pipes-UTEC-Edge Racing TC-SGP valvebody and then a bunch of other little stuff.

Alot depends on what kind of whp/torq your shooting for. You can start with a VB upgrade and go all the way to a completely rebuilt tranny.

If you are looking for a ballpark figure, you can spend between 10-20K installed and tuned on a stock block twin turbo setup, depending on the details.

Riding in my friends Greddy TT G with a valvebody was awesome! Shifts very quick I was VERY impressed...I guarantee with traction he'd go 12's with only 6psi...

It's to bad that GT Motorsports doesn't have a web site where we can tell what they have. (Like every other company on the planet)
