Default New Engine Bay Pics...ARC, GTM, Aeromotive, Etc...

Felt like taking a couple bay shots.

Here you go...

Fuel System(relocated battery to the trunk):

Thanks to Andy@MyNismo for the great deal on the ARC parts. I ordered the ARC V.2 catch can, radiator cap and cooling panel and they had everything in stock and shipped out the next day.

Thanks to Sam@GT Motorsports. GTM's JWT TT cold air intake setup, radiator shroud and fans are top notch...

Hi George, my car is running great! Sam is the tuning man, haven't had a single issue, problem, etc...as long as I keep up with the maintenance my car runs like a champ. The only engine oil I use is Motul 300V 15W50, its pricey but worth every penny in my opinion. I change my oil every 2-3K miles, change my NGK iridium plugs, 2-step colder, every 5k, and just changed my diff(Motul 90PA), tranny(OEM) and brake fluid(Motul RBF600) a couple weeks ago.

I'm trying to get a new wheel&tire setup so I can run some 1/4 times before the seasons over, which is in like 2 weeks. I put my stock 18's on and sold my PIAA's cause the tires were toast. I want to get some 18" Enkei GTC-01's, RPF1's or NT03+M but I can't decide which ones are going to look decent on a G35 coupe(frustrating)? Most of the G's that I've seen running 18's dont look right, 19's just look/fit alot better than 18's on G coupes.

Looking forward to seeing some updates on your car and GTM's G37. Thanks again for your help, talk to you soon.

Unless something changed recently, Derek doesn't work directly for DSport anymore, and I doubt he had any control over what DSport ran on the cover.

Magazine layouts are determined months in advance....it was an unfortunate mistake, but I don't hold it against DSport, since I doubt they know anything about the shady VRT tactics. I just hope that no newbs get suckered into VRT with that cover shot.

Hey Derek,

I met you at cars & coffee last week, we chatted for a bit about our setups. I had the other black G that was @ the meet, also recently tuned by SAM. Your car is amazing! great job. . . See you around.

Thanks Sharif.

You're absolutely right. I have never had any control over what cars are going to be featured in DSport, only the editors and our publisher decide on the cars being featured.

VRT's layout was shot and finished over 6 months ago, most magazine layouts are done 6-12 months in advance. At the time I had no idea about VRT's shady business tactics or else I would have informed the editors(good friends of mine for 6+yrs) and they probably would've tossed the story and used a different car.

I agree with Sharif, it was an unfortunate mistake and I hope it doesn't happen again.

if you could talk to them, SCC is going to run a short article on them and what transpired with them.

It would be nice if Dsport could have a little blurb, maybe in 'corrections' section or after readers messages..

just something talking about the situation and the importance of vetting a shop in the community.

thanks for the response.

Motormouth - I will definitely talk to DSports editors and provide them with all the info I can find. If you have a chance can you pm me a list of the recent threads regarding VRT's business practices? That way I can print them out for the editors to review. I cant guarantee any correction articles, but I can guarantee that DSport will never feature another VRT car again, if their even still in business?

Thanks,
Derek
