Cool looking for some wisdom (forced induction)

i own a black nissan 350z...rims area already taken care of, and i am deciding on my next stage to increase speed. originally i planned it like so
-hks intake
-hks dual exhaust both of which i would have to save up for..
and then long down the road once i have enough cash saved up, was going to go for the turbonetics turbo kit

now the problem i see here is why should i waste money on an intake when later down the road the kit includes an intercooler and intake...

and also the turbonetics turbo kit, can i install that onto a stock engine??

looking for some help

thanks guys x)

You are going to need to utilize the search feature, and put a flame suit on quickly.

Why red? I didn't even bother reading past the first couple of lines... ouch. Did you even try reading any of the posting rules or stickies first?

good thinking on skipping the intake.

for turbo, the largest exhaust you are willing to live with, the better for power. many with single turbo, go single exhaust, but you can use a y-pipe and dual exhaust. that said, hks I believe is 2.25" diameter piping, which is kind of small from a turbo backpressure perspective.

you can get many answers to your questions by searching the FI forum on this site. good luck.

If you are definitely going single turbo, the true dual exhaust is not the way to go. You would have to fabricate a reverse Y pipe if you want to go single turbo.
If you go twin, the HKS is fine...some may say its too restrictive at 2.5" diameter, but no fabricating necessary.

If, after all of that, you STILL have questions, feel free to ask.

don't buy a true dual exhaust if you are going with a single turbo kit... it will be useless anyways... your best bet is to JUST save up for the Turbo kit of your choice... finding that out the hard way =(

no its wont bolt up to it... you have to get a built motor and once it gets modified to what needs to be done the turbo kit will bolt up....
